Eventually, we developed a craving for dessert. Alo (our expert at finding places to eat and drink) eventually suggested we go to one of the most famous Soya & Tau Fu Fah shops in the city - Funny Mountain.
The shop was a small place that took up about two small units by the road side. When we approached the shopkeeper who was busy preparing a bottle of fresh soybean milk, he looked at us and asked us what we would like to have. Our eyes shifted to the menu banner that was stuck up at the front of the shop, and to our surprise, we noticed that what was sold there was extremely affordable.
Eventually, we ordered a bowl of Tau Fu Fah and settled into the story of how Funny Mountain had been run successfully for the past 64 years. The shopkeeper turned out to be the founder's grandson who was now keeping up the family's Soya and Tau Fu Fah recipe legacy. We also managed to observe the way the Tau Fu Fah was scooped and prepared for serving.
There were photos aligned right outside the shop that seemed to tell the tale of how Funny Mountain was established so long ago. As for the Tau Fu Fah, at RM1.20 per bowl, it was silky yet plump with a pudding-like texture. Robed in sugar syrup that was of just the right sweetness, the four of us eventually ended up competing for who would have the last bite (since we obviously could not fill ourselves up to maximum capacity on single servings of Tau Fu Fah).

| Total price: RM4.90 (RM1.20 per bowl) and soya bean milk (RM2.50; not pictured; bottled) |
Before we left, we purchased a bottle of Soya for the road. Priced a little higher at around RM3.50, the sweetness once again was the highlight of it being worth every penny. The story that the shopkeeper shared with us will remain close to our hearts (almost as close as the delicious, unforgettable Tau Fu Fah we enjoyed).
